I agree with getting the schooling done when you are young! I am so glad i went straight from high school into a university and came out with a degree after 4 1/2 years. The difference in salary is ridiculous ! When i got my first pay check working as a professional i alsmost fainted! . It would have taken me 3 times the time as a waitress to get that kind of money I also could not imagine going to school now, I admire many of my coworkers with families who go back to school! I don't think i could do it congrats jenn and although i've been here a short time, i enjoy all of you guys

Ging.... I think you convinced me. I should be starting a course in January - and I'm hoping to slowly work towards a degree. Mind you I already have some University credits and a 2 year Honours Diploma from a specialized college program. A University degree would be nice to have though in case I ever need it I suppose. Personally I could care less, but it seems to impress potential employers. Lucky for me I'm not looking for work right now

It's coz we're friendly and for the most part know what the hell we are talking about...or at least if one doesn't good chance another one does. And if nobody knows, we at least know where to go to find the answer. Plus if you suddenly just stop posting....we'll hunt you down to find out why. And face it....we just have fun!

Yup, I must admit, I went on many boards before coming here and never felt as "family-like" as with you guys, I'm hooked even without a trip in the planning!

DOM: My dad says that about education also, that school is like a job which is why he helps me out with my tuition and calls it my salary!! Otherwise I would come out of this with debts til I die!
I just had a whopper of an exam that left me in a daze, and so I can't seem to remember how it went!
One more on friday, and then I'm hitting the streets for x-Mas shopping!

X-Mas shopping the weekend before? You are one brave, brave, brave person... I just do all my shopping online now. Much easier. ;D Doug

Marie, Almost from first grade on told my kids schoolwork/homework trumps any chore! It's what they needed to do then.....washing dishes would not contirbute to their overall success. When my son wanted to get a job at 16 I threw a fit.....that few bucks an hour would never help him later and if he needed some date bucks we could work something out. School, school, school...it's your job...do well and succeed......so you can take care of your old parents with those big paychecks down the road! ;D Or at least send them on a wonderful seniors cruise.

Always an ulterior motive.... My parents already have the place they want to be sent to picked out. Their afraid my sister and I would find some cheap place! We'd at least make sure the roaches were dead first! ;D

Yup, my parents are not too demanding on chores when finals come up, but when break starts !! Plus they figure I'll be able to take care of them when they're old and gray. At least my mom does, my dad just said to push him down a hill when he gets to be in a wheelchair!! Actually my whole family can't wait till I graduate and demand I go into geriatrics!
