Um, Kim, how do Canadians contribute?? I just tried, and it won't accept my credit card as it is Canadian. Do you have a PayPal account?

That must be something new Skye as I'm Canadian and that's how I've been paying for it. I just read now how they will only take money orders from non US customers, weird...!
I will email them to double check though.

skye, that's really strange as I've contributed before with no problems at all. Which financial institution is the card with?
Kim, give me a day or so to get organized, and I'll forward another donation (I'm "tied up" with work right now, so don't have a lot of time at home; I normally WON'T do financial transactions at work, as it's a shared PC).
Cheers!!!!

Thank you, Eagle! It must be something they've changed cause it now says this:
Notice to our International Customers
We do not accept credit card payments from international customers. For those customers outside the United States we are able to accept payment via International Money Order
I've asked about it so guess we'll see. If you can't, that's just dumb as it costs a few bucks to buy a money order, never mind the hassle of mailing it!

Kim, that really is DUMB! Credit Cards are supposed to be "internationally recognized" through the parent corporations which control these (Visa, MasterCard, etc.). All financial institutions (in Canada and elsewhere) belong to these organizations, so this is very strange. ALSO, since when was Canada considered "international"!!!
As an "experiment" I'll try and make a donation when I get a few spare minutes, and we'll see what happens. Unfortunately, they can usually tell which bank issued the card via the first four numbers of the account number, so this may be unsuccessful also?
I'll let you know how it works out.

Hey all!
Tried to donate, but it doesnt work since im canadian.
How do you do it Kim?
By the way, it says the donations arent rollover, does it mean that if we all give now, it is useless since the money will vanish at the end of the month?
Thanks!

I know Eagle, it is dumb! I'm awaiting a response as I can't imagine why that would be! I've always paid with my credit card so it must be new. Jen, no the roll over thing is confusing I know! Basically every month I go and apply a credit to our boards. Now if we ran out on August 29 and I went and applied another credit, it would run out at the end of August, not go into Sept. Anything that gets donated just gets banked in our credits until I apply it. That's why from time to time at the end of the month, I just let the ads come for a day or two, as to not waste the whole credit. Yep, you can definately send me a cheque Do you need my address or have I given it to you before? Kim

Kim, why don't you set up a PayPal account? Then we could just contribute in to there. I am not very good at getting things put in the mail

As I recall this all used to be done via a PayPal account. When you clicked on 'make these boards ad free' it used to go directly to paypal. What happened? What changed? I've donated numerous times and prior to this is was always through PayPal. Seems the 'new' improved method is not necessarily better.

Yeah, I agree. I guess they changed their way of doing things with all those updates not too long ago. I still haven't heard back from them.
Good idea about the PayPal Skye, I've added a button to the top of the boards.
Modified to add - the button really slowed down the loading time of the boards so PayPal donations can just be sent using the email address: kimineurope@hotmail.com
Thanks so much guys, Kim
