Only stayed in one-the NJHC Vondelpark HI.
It was fine-but kind of sterile, lacking in atmosphere. Very clean though and practical. Lots of school groups. Everyone else that has reviewed it on this site seems to love-but I dunno.. just didn't do it for me.
We did go across the street to check out the Flying Pig Vondelpark and it looked like it was more of a good time but less clean..
People have said good things about Hotel My Home..

not quite a hostel, but if don´t mind staying near the red light district, the Hotel Winston is a good place with a lively bar. Easy to get to from the train station, and if you are travelling with a couple people, the three or four person rooms with bath will be about the same price as paying for hostel beds. www.winston.nlRay |
