So my family decided that they had to see how I was living here and decided to visit. My mom, stepfather, two stepsisters, and stepbrother all came out for their first trip to Prague. It was great to see them all and really good to alleviate my mom's fears about this town and my quality of life.
Their trip happened to coincide with my "graduation" from my english teaching certification course. To celebrate, I decided I would throw a party like I remember from my college days.
I found a really cool bar called Tato Kojkej on Kampa Island right next to the river and rented it out for a night of debauchery. It was great, and everyone I know in Prague was there. It was a great international environment and everyone had a blast. I had arranged for the bar from 7pm to 2am with unlimited drinks and a dinner catering. Sounds extravagant, huh? But it was very do-able with the prices here.
At the end of the night, there were about 80 people there or so. I didn't realize I had met that many people, but hey, the more the merrier. My family was there and had a great time. Towards the end of the evening, I fell asleep on one of the couches for a little while (
) but was quickly woken up and told I was going home. Next thing I know I am waking up at a different club. Needless to say, it was an epic night.
Hope that everyone is doing well, and I will be back with report on the travelling I have been able to do this summer.
