Hostels 35 Food/Drink 30 Emergency 500 Local Transportation 10 Other/Tourist Things 10
This is my basic idea of my everyday budget for Ireland/London/France/Italy/Austria/Czech/Germany for 42 days.
Does this seem okay? It basically allocates $85 (US) for each day. I know everyone always asks this question but I'm trying to decide if we should cut back how many days we will be going or anything like that.

This is in the 60-65 Euro range at current exchange rates. I think this is enough for some countries, but not all, at least if you aren't doing a really bare-bones trip.
In Italy, tourist things add up really quickly. I don't regret any money spent on seeing really great attractions, but it's easy to get up to 25 Euros per day on tourist attractions without even trying. Add a guided tour and a concert, for example, and it's hard to do on a low budget (but really worth it still).
Germany can often be done quite cheaply, at least Berlin and some smaller cities.
In general, your food and drink budget will not allow much eating in restaurants, nor much drinking, but you can do a healthy diet on this amount in most cases.
How much are you allotting for transportation between cities? You are going to an awful lot of places in 42 days.
