I use this site a lot: www.itasoftware.comI also use Orbitz Deal Detector, Travelocity Flexible Search, Travelocity Fare Watcher, and I am signed up for numerous airline and other travel newsletters that announce deals. I guess you could say I'm quite dedicated to low airfares . We went on the itasoftware site and found a lot of great prices for multiple carrier flights but it says that you need to book these flights through a travel agent in order to get the same schedule and prices. Is this true or is there a way to do this ourselves? And are travel agents expensive when it comes to do something like this?

What's the deal with open-jaw tickets? Are you buying round-trip tickets but are able to fly out from anywhere else. Are you limited to the same airline? How much more expensive can the be (average)? We are trying to save time by not having to double-back by buying open-jaws but are trying to figure out exactly how they work and prices. And where you would go to actually buy one of these tix.

Well I mentioned that if we skip out on a rail to Berlin and fly over to Prague that we could save like two days. Those days can be added to Rome or to time in Budapest. I like the sound of that better. Plus the total cost of rails/flights will drop $200 bucks! We'll see what they say (2 other guys with me). If you have any other suggestions feel free to make em!

Could help a lil' bit. .
The following EU countries do not participate in the Schengen Agreement: Cyprus, Estonia, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Slovakia (after watching the movie Hostel I don't think I will ever go here haha), Slovenia, the Czech Republic, Hungary and UK.

Well my buddy backed down from going, but luckily I had a couple of backups! Here is what they are suggesting (eesh!). Is it possible with only 12 days? Leave Dallas TX roundtrip to Amsterdam, Netherlands. - 825 dollars roundtrip > I studied this map and here are cities I think we should visit, look at the map and tell me where you all want to go and how you would like to divide up the days. www.europeetravel.com/maps/europe-map-political.htm> Looking at this map, here is what I think we should do, tell me your input also: > A complete loop on the EURO-RAIL takes us from Amsterdamn, Netherlands to Coppenhagan, Denmark then to Berlin Germany then to Prague, then to Vienna, Austria, then to Zurich, Switzerland then finally to Paris France....back to amsterdam to fly back. >

D'oh! Vienna is even closer than Berlin. And Vienna is even more beautiful I might add. So maybe it is an idea to go from Amsterdam to Berlin to Prague (for the gig) do the brewery tour) and go to Vienna (and maybe even go further East to Bratislawa and/or Budapest, or going south-west towards Italy. Depending on your other interests you can put in some other places (like Dresden) That doesn't sound like too bad of an idea! It would be nice to check Italy out. Maybe we could get one of those open-jaw flights so we can take off from there. . . .

Question: Is Prague also the last stop of your journey, or is it somewhere in the middle? One place that is close to Prague and you shouldn't miss is Berlin. No, Prague will be in the middle of our trip. We will be going (as of right now) from June 15th to July 3rd. Yeah, Berlin was tossed around a few times. I hear that the women there are absolutely gorgeous and the people are very pleasent. A co-worker of mine lived throughout Europe (Military kiddo) as a kid and said she always enjoyed Germany.

Well I don't think we will spend too much time there in London. My buddy just moved over there about a month back (Air Force) so we will just go back to his house, hang out there overnight, grab his stuff and take off. I am taking enough cash for about 90-100 bucks (US) per day. I am going to try not to spend that much while I'm there, but I wanted to make sure I had enough cash to get around.
Well since this trip was just "brought up" a few days ago (my gf and I just seperated so this is my getting over her) we haven't really even thought about what type of places we want to see. I do know that we want to meet some good people, some good women, and have a general damn good time. We're pretty fun and spontaneous. We were talking about hitting up Amsterdam just because, well, it's Amsterdam haha. Any ideas are welcome, and that brewery idea sounds pretty good. We can go after the concert =)

Okay, this will be my first time in Europe. A buddy and I will be there for about 2 - 2 1/2 weeks starting out in London. He wants to hit up the Guinness Beer factory and check out a few pubs in Ireland etc, this should be just for a few days. After that we aren't to sure where the best places/countries to see are. We want to see a good variety of different places and may just spend a day to a day and a half in each place (depending). We do have one place that we have to be and that's at the Tool concert in Prague on June 25th.
Any suggestions on where to go would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!!!
