I haven't voted but it would get my vote.. actually it would be a tie between Brussels and Milan.
Thought it was cool that someone else picked your favorite small city/town too (the one in Wales)

Ugh.. Brussels. I remember Ging emailed me from there and was like this place is terrible!! I told her hang in there and head to Bruges! We both loved Bruges and hate Brussels.
I have equal feelings of ugh-ness to Milan as well. Do not recommend Milan. I remember coming out the train station and 2 other backpackers were like "Thank god we get to finally leave Milan!" And to think I didn't think they were serious.. !

Kim
It looks like some of my votes were tallied and some didn't!
And BTW... Brussels wasn't bad for me... nothing special but I wouldn't say it was bad... actually I can't recall any place that was bad...

Hmmmm, I just signed up for a daytrip to Brussels. Never been there, I'm curious. Well, if it's disappointing, it will only cost me 5 (yes, FIVE) euro to get there, and I will have spent a nice day with some of my friends..... After all, it's the company your in that can make or break your day! Cat

Nit,
Some of your answers were too vague..
Hostel With Best Facilities: Savonlinna Least favorite hostel: Nantes Hostel with the best location: Cordoba
These weren't added as I am looking for specific hostels, rather than just the cities as each city could have more than one hostel. For example, I know of 3 for Nantes (Port Beaulieu, La Manu and Porte Neuve), there could be more.
If you want to clarify, I will add them.
Some other answers that I recieved from other people weren't added as well-as in, if it asks for a hostel and you put in a Holiday Inn-that's not considered a hostel. Europe specific answers weren't added as well.

Sorry.....I just have to say I found it somewhat puzzeling that two different people say underwear was the best thing they packed? Guess I just don't consider that as an 'optional item'.

I don't recall the name of that hostel in Nantes... none of the names you mentioned sound familiar... The hostel in Savonlinna is Malakias, it is listed in LP... The hostel in Cordoba is HI-affiliated, it is at Plaza Juda Levi, in the old city (next to the tourist info office, BTW). Also listed in LP.

What I found funny is the definition of small city is quite blurry... I would never consider Zurich or Nice as small cities!
BTW... there are 4 votes for San Sebastian as you should count Donostia, which is the Basque name of the city... and it's 4 votes foe Cinque Terre if Vernazza and Riomaggiore are added...

I know-that's why I wrote at the top of that one "Maybe I should have specified how small small is".. some of those are not small by any means! I changed the San Seb. one but I'm going to leave the Cinque Terre one-just cause some people specifically chose one of the 5 and some chose just Cinque Terre, all of the 5. Not surprised about the big city choices but I was surprised at 2nd place for least favorite country being Belgium. Kim
