In my experience hanging around with a couple of U.S peeps in Paris they were never treated badly. Having said that you better believe they didn't go around advertising it.
There were also a couple of occassions where we would be out and about and people would ask us where we were from. When people would find out I was the only Canadian in the group they would totally get excited. I even had one waiter keep on coming back and patting me in the back while saying things like "YA! Canada!" It was funny!
Nothing hostile though!
