Hi, I was looking into the plane tickets, and I've been finding some cheap prices, but I still want to push it down a little more. Then I found a website saying something about
1) Air Hitch - I'm not sure how it works, but it looks very very cheap. If anyone has used that or knows anything about it, please help.
2)Air Couriers - I know how it works, but I'm not sure about the credibility of it and the times possible to arrange one. How does that work and where can you find a good employer. Anyone who has done that please answer.
Thank you

welll... when I was planning my first trip I got snookered into the whole air hitch thing....and even ordered the book. It's full of advice like go out to the little local airports and stand by the runways with signs saying 'going east or west or whatever' and often times private pilots will give you a ride for 'contributionsa' towards fuel...they are not legally allowed to charge 'fares'. Forget this, imo, it's too hit and miss and not workable if you need a flight at a certain time. Years ago couriers used to be a big savings thing....but not anymore. Several disadvantages the biggest being for the most part you can't take any luggage as your allowance is used by their packages. Once again....it's greatly hit or miss plus most want to charge you a pretty hefty fee to get on the 'list' of available fliers. My experience, purely through research, with both these options are not good. Unless you have loeads of time and scheduling opportunites and flexibilities....probably not a great thing.
