cutting out lattes....
we were actually given a $30 latte maker earlier in the year. we just now get our latte fix by making them at home (A LOT cheaper).
if you want to go out to a coffeeshop or if you want a warm drink, i reccomend either bringing teabags (i have been to places where, if you have a container, they will give you warm water for free) or even buying tea is typically pretty cheap. (i understand the need for a warm drink in the winter).
saving money.....ouch....we will be cutting off our cable soon. i love tv. its really silly how much i love it, but we waste so much money on cable. there are a lot of things that we just over spend on.
if you must go see a movie (like hotel rwonda) then go to the earlier showing. split a meal with friends instead of ordering your own (in the US our portions are so large that its easy to do). when friends want to go out we always invite them over here. its a lot cheaper to a night in.
the best thing to do (altough i dont do this because it typically frightens me)....look at your online account or collect all receipts for a week. it will shock you how much money you have spent on really dumb things. and automatically put a certain amount of money back into the savings.

Just think about all your new friends going out to have gelati in italy and you can't afford to go with them because you had too many big nights here at home!!
