in Europe? what i've read sez it's 18. but, the web is full of mistakes. at 21, no place is more restrictive than US. but, rumor has it, MADD wants to raise it again, to 25! (they *are* mad!) anyone know what country has the oldest age limit for drinking?

Some countries have a two tier limit, where it's 18 or around there for beer, wine etc and 20-21 for harder stuff. Norway is the first example I can think of (18 and 20 respectively).
I can just about see where the US lies with their current drinking age, but to raise it to 25 is just crazy.

Hi To be honest i wouldnt let legal ages stop you from drinking. If you want it bad enough you'll get it. As far as pubs and clubs go, just try them all. All they can say is no, and if its anything like where i live, if you're a women, give the bouncer a smile and your away in a hat!
