I was wondering, especially during winter do i have to bring my own sheets to the hostels? or are they warm enough? because i saw this travel silk sheet thing that seems like it should be ok, i just don't know if i want to buy it or not.

The supplied bedding will be fine. Most hostels don't actually like you to bring your own bedding as that's how bed bugs can be spread etc.

Actually, most hostels have no problem with you bringing a sleep sheet - they just don't want you to use sleeping bags.
A sleep sheet is fine as it can be used and doesn't have an environment that is good for bed bugs to lay their eggs, where a sleeping bag does.
I personally always use a sleep sheet (just a regular king size sheet sewn in half) as I don't really trust the cleanliness of a hostel sheets. I also bring my own pillowcase and wash them both frequently.

Same here, I constantly use my sleep sheet, even if the bedding is comfortable. It helps prevent bed bugs from getting at you, or at least at your whole body!
It's easy to wash along with your clothes and it's an extra comfy "blanket"!
