hello, i have space for a 5-7 day holiday with my boyfriend for end of march/bgining april.
(we live in london) and want to go somewhere in europe that is as warm as possible, maybe with a beach or lake we can swim in , but this might not be possible for the time of year i know...
we loved barcelona last year for the culture in the city with the beachs down the coast., this time we want somewhere further east? italy / croatia / greece ? I like the idea of hosteling in dubrovnik. but dont know how easy it is to get there (by train?) . we're not really interested in toursist attractions.
thankyou very very much! i love this site!

Hi Sall! If you are going to Croatia, I wouldn't bother with hostelling. It's so cheap that you could stay in a nice pension for next to nothing. Greece is wonderful but skip Athens, nothing but a big, dirty city. If you go, head straight to the islands - Mykonos, Santorini, Naxos etc. I would say as you are from London, you are in an ideal spot. Your best bet would be to check out the budget airlines and see where they fly. You can get flights for super cheap that it's not worth it alot of the time to take the train. www.easyjet.com/www.ryanair.comKim P.S. I love Barcelona too!
