You shouldn't have any problems with public transport and it's fairly easy. If ever lost look on the bus stop sign and look for termini, many buses stop there. If you want to relax after a busy day my fave thing to do is hang out at piazza navona, you can people watch, buy cheap imitation purses, get your portrait painted and even see famous people. I saw Armani there last year.

i second the public transit bit. as well as be careful around termini. rome i found fairly cheap compared to the uk in gereral.

Cheers again everyone. I realise I haven't got a lot of time in Rome but I will have full days cos I fly in at 9:10am on Monday and don't leave til 21:35 Thurs. I am busy completing a teacher training course and have to fit my trips in between half terms and coursework and I really really must go somewhere before summer or my head will explode!!! I'll get planning my days over nx few weeks and let you know how I get on. Thanks again
