i'd think it be a little chilly to go hiking in Wintertime that far North. [One can mostly only see the Northern Lights in Wintertime] stockolm (much better than all cities above together ) or harstad, norway if you want to see polar lights. nice place for hiking as well!

My friend and I want to start out in Dublin, and all the flights I am seeing fly us in to Amsterdam and then we fly out the next day to Dublin. (This may change since we aren't going until 2008). So I was wondering in your opinions, could we count the 24 hour layover as our day for jetlag and once we get into Dublin start out right away on our trip?
I personally think i could do it, since jetlag doesnt effect me badly. I have been over to Ireland before, dozed on the plane and then that night crashed and was entirely fine for the rest of the trip. I do not know how jetlag effects my friend though.
