Oh I am that indeed! But fact is it was the place I most totally fell in love with on a 4 month trip and sincerely feel there is something there for anyone and everyone. And what a shame to ever miss it. Can I mention I also adored both Scotland and Wales....particularly Wales! g

I did five countries in 6 weeks, and it was a little rushed, didn't get to see enough of some places I was in, so I think two months would have been a better plan for me. Italy was my fave country and you might think about going to Austria, it is beautiful. I miss europe ... =(

Ryan, Greece might be tough. it takes a long time to get to and/or from. look into open jaw air tix if you choose Greece. you might think about Austria? it borders both italy and czech republic - it's between them. - d How much cheaper can flying be? What would be a good airline to check out as far as flying within europe? Ryan Air? I would love to save some money where i can to increase my staya couple weeks. You said 5 countries would be fine for 2 months...What would be 2 interesting countries to add to my itinirary? As of yet i have the Netherlands, Switzerland and Italy on my list of definite places to see. I was thinking Greece and the Czech Republic. -Ryan

On travelmates........
In August I traveled around with the boyfriend for almost a month. I was kind of worried 'cause even though we had studied and traveled together in Quebec for 5 weeks this would be different.
My biggest concern is that we would have different travel styles.
I planned pretty much the whole trip and we embarked on an adventure. I was THRILLED to discover that we made incredible travel partners! Our styles didn't differ all that much and in fact they complemented each other. That and our discussions on art and history were fantastic. Despite some long train journeys and stuff there was not a moment when I was bored. It was fantastic to be honest!
Now while in Paris I traveled with other friends and although it didn't go badly it didn't go quite so well.
I think it's really important that when you travel you and your buddy have exactly the same budget. Or at least something close. It kind of sucks when you travel with people and you order a meal and they order soup or nothing at all.
I also found I had a bit of difficulty with one particular friend in a museum. She didn't seem to care very much for it at all.
But the friend I traveled to Austria and Germany with -- that went well.
I think it's just one of those things you have to think twice about.
A friend at home might be a pain in the butt on the road.
