Just received this from Mark Pearson and thought I would pass it along in case anyone is interested:
"Europe from a Backpack is now accepting story submissions from students who have studied abroad.
Right now there is no travel-essay book on the market written from the first person perspective of the student. This is an opportunity to have the experiences, observations, and adventures distilled in the pages of the forthcoming travel book.
Europe from a Backpack is accepting the myriad of real stories revolving around the cultural, social, and life-shaping experiences in this form:
-- 250 to 5,000 words --1st person narrative
Please email EuropeBackpack@aol.com with your submissions or for more information about story guidelines.
All submissions are due June 1st. Submissions accepted for publication will be compensated.
Contact Mark Pearson at europebackpack@aol.com or at 206.730.2463 for more information."
