Eagle, I'm glad to hear the Thomas Cook flight worked out well. If you like, in the future, you can book them either from www.thomascook.ca or www.canadianaffair.com (the latter is usually cheaper, but not always). Some of the off-season flights are fantastically cheap (although I've noted prices rising in the last couple months, so the deals aren't as great as they once were). I know Air Transat charter flights are really crammed - have you ever ridden AT so as to compare it to TC? My sympathies on that long cramped flight. When I get off a Vancouver-London nonstop charter flight, I feel like I have just barely survived the ordeal (I recover very quickly, and I'm always happy to have saved the money. Still, I'm happy to be using Air Canada for the next flight and to see if they are indeed any better than a charter.)

Eagle...sent you an IM..check your mail! ;D WT....have flown AirCanada twice overseas. As well as many others...why oh why have I never developed an affinity for 'miles'?....and would list them personally as this (knowing that at least one of them no longer fly) PanAm Virgin British Air Air Canada Luftansia United AlItalia Continental American Delta Never used a charter flight though so couldn't rank them. Note well my immense dislike of Delta....without a doubt the worst airline I personally have ever flown. Oh for the days of PanAm! But the best 'current' I have flown recently is Virgin. Great airlines! Ammended to say I just flew USAir last weekend Fl to OH and having not flown them in years was most impressed! On time leaving, early arrival on 4 seperate flights. I know they are in huge trouble right now, but I had great service and a good overall impression. Attendants and gate folks could not have been nicer and more helpful...sort of like the service I recall from 20 years ago.
