Yup, Kim, you're right! It's horrible to walk without backstraps, people step on your heel, you fall off them, trip, it's horrible in crowds. Also sometimes in summer your feet get warm, so the sole is humid and you slide in your sandals, with a backstrap, no problem, but without, it's really uncomfortable!
