Have you guys started your x-mas shopping yet?? I started last week and have made very good progress. Today I concentrated on getting the toys for all 'my children', the toy aisles are crazy!!! Next week I want to tackle stocking stuffers and last minute things for relatives. It's exhausting i tell you!

i actually started 3 months ago... but it was when i was in europe so i decided to pick up some cool stocking stuffers along the way! other than that i'm making a bunch so i started those about a month ago... i knit a lot... so i'm knitting hat/mittens/scarf for my mum... tuque for my dad (he wouldn't wear anything else anyway). and i'm almost done with stocking stuffers... except for my brother... men are always difficult to buy for.

doug, you are very brave! jules, if all else fails i always end up giving men alcohol of some kind. Unless they don't drink , it's always appreciated

yes doug you are brave! i worked at the body shop for a number of x-mases during my undergrad... insanity!!! that and HMV (or any other music store) are probably the worst places ever in the few days before x-mas. we had line ups going round the shop to pay! my favorite clients were the doug's of the world (i'm kidding of course... i have no idea if you're like this other than being last minutes) the men who come in with money to spend and say " i need a gift for my wife/gf/daugher/sister" and have NO IDEA what kind of stuff they like! its great! they always end up spending a bomb! stanncie... actually i was planning on putting a mini-bottle of whiskey in my brother's stocking... I usually procrastinate like crazy but seeing as I've worked retail for the past few years & saw what the stores get like if you wait too long I am proud to announce that I am ALL DONE my shopping!!!! I've actually given away half the gifts already because we had an early Christmas this weekend since my sister leaves for Korea next week (can't get into details right now because I might start to cry again lol) I just have a couple of stocking stuffers left to get & a roll of wrapping paper cause I ran out! Other than that I can sit back & relax now, which the rest of you fight off the crowds in the malls!!

my favorite clients were the doug's of the world Good lord, if there's more of me out there this world is doomed! Doomed I tell you! Really though, I'm very hard to faze. And I'm REALLY lucky (as in when I'm ready to check out, another register opens right then...). Dunno why, but I've NEVER had trouble shopping so late.

Ugh I hate crowds in a shopping mall. Constantly pushing and shoving. Standing and stopping right in the middle of the aisle. Carelessness! AHHHHHHHHHHH NO!

Been there, done that, killed 3-4 people I'm a fan pricewise, although in the past years i've noticed they aren't as good on the 26th. And if they are, they still are on the 28-29, 3rd etc!
