Doug, it it's any consolation, I've never heard of those shows and certainly have never watched them. I'll have to check the current TV guide, but I don't recall seeing those listed in this area?
Just to satisfy my curiosity, what kind of show is Dr. Who???

you are obviously not british! doctor who is a science fiction show that dates back to the late 60's or early 70's. the series was on for years and is a bbc production. last year they brought it back with christopher eccleston as the doctor (www.cbc.ca/doctorwho/seasonone/index.html) and it was aired on cbc all season (about the only good thing on cbc - not a hockey fan). doug is bitter cause the new season aires in canada and not the US i think the old ones used to air on PBS. *coughcough* IHateYouAll *coughcough* Dr. Who started out as a kids educational show for the BBC, which totally stank. Then they added all these sci-fi elements to the show and it took off like a rocket. It ran from the early 60s till 1989. FOX Networks did a TV/backdoor pilot in 1996, but the ratings didn't warrant a new series. Then the CBC showed interest, put up some money, and jointly produced the new seasons that are now airing in EVIL CANADA! And the UK. ;D

Jules80, I DO have British heritage in my family (Belfast & London) but I guess I just haven't discovered those shows yet, although I watch A LOT of British TV. Some of my favourite shows these days are Heartbeat (especially as I visited "Aidensfield" last year), A Touch of Frost, London's Burning, Soldier-Soldier (no longer in production, but I watch this every day on CBC Country Canada and REALLY enjoy it), New Tricks (watch it once in a while), MI-5 (although I haven't seen that one for a while) and of course "the Bucket woman" (Keeping up Appearances). I'm always sorry for poor Richard, but kind of admire Onslow's philosophy of life ("bone idle").
I'm not a big Sci-Fi fan at the best of times, and that might be why I haven't "tuned in" to the Dr. Who shows? I'll have another look on the CBC directory for this week and see if I can find it.
Doug, perhaps you could receive the show on satellite?
Cheers all!!!
