Wow, I just got back the other day from 3.5 weeks in Europe. Thank you for everyone who helped me out. It was an amazing adventure. I did not want to leave and now that im finaly back in the US, I am just dreaming of being in Barcelona or Munich at the moment. The weather was perfect just about everywhere and I enjoyed the so called 'mild' winter they were having. Anyway thank you again I would have been lost if it wasnt for this site.
If you have any questions about Amsterdam, Madrid, Barcelona, Rome, Florence, Berling or Munich I will be happy to answer them as I just got back and its fresh in my mind.
Again, thank you!

Welcome back txtech! Glad you enjoyed Europe and didn't freeze too much!
When you get a chance, maybe add your comments to the hostel review section (if you haven't already and if your hostel is listed) so the information is as recent as possible for other travellers. I know dumbdeity was working on it, but I think it's good to go (is it doug?).

Didn't know where to put this but the subject line led me to this thread.
Though I still have much planning to do and don't even leave for another five weeks, I too would like to thank the mods and contributing board members for all the help and advice I've already received by reading through the board.
I found a great deal on my first pack, the Eagle Creek Maiden Voyage 70 (yes, I'm a pretty small guy), and I can't wait to take it to Europe for my long-overdue first trip there. Did three weeks in Morocco with an ill-fitting friend's pack and my back was on fire by day two.
So thanks to all, I'll be here a ton in the near future and will be sure to follow up with notes upon my return.

Hey a Red Raider, I will be in Florence and Rome among other places in February. How were the places that you stayed. This is my first trip over and I have never done the backpacking or hostile thing before and I am a little nervouse.
