I guessed it was the interbank rate. I do a quick check here every day (well, actually several times per day): www.xe.comThis gives the interbank rate, which large banks use to trade amongst themselves. Also, sometimes here: www.oanda.com The rates are very similar. As of today, it's again 1.17 for the USD/Euro interbank rate. I don't know why I keep on looking at these rates, but I just can't help myself .

I guessed it was the interbank rate. that was my first thought. then i figgured, "why would that rate be on display for tourists to see in Lubeck?" i mean, if it were just listed in the paper or on a web site, would she have said "in Lubeck?" - d

let's just hope that this 2 year low keeps going throughout 2006. hopefully it'll go down even more. hehe!!
