hi again... new question... when in a museum or a monument it says "reduced price for students/under 26" do you need a special card to prove you are a student? cuz im reading everything about the isic card and some places that say that they do discounts of this type arent on their list. im reading the ise card and that one has them on its list... so im wondering if i go with an isic card, will i get those youth/student discounts? wich one is better?

virgi, this is as good a section as any to Post this question! Some museums and sights offer student discount, but not always to all students as sometimes it's just for EU (European Union) students with valid ID. That said, if you have an ISIC card you'll find it works in enough places to make it worthwhile.

I didn't have an ISIC card but rather, used my university student ID card and they were accepted anywhere that offered a student discount.

So does this mean if I have an expired student id (but doesn't specify on the card) does that mean I could still try that? Shady, I know, but I could really use all the sofa change i could get!!

You could try. If you look like a student, it should be fine. My student card didn't have an expiration date on it but it clearly said University of XXX with my student number and name on it with a magnetic stripe on the back - so obviously it was authentic.
