Well I just bought my pack today, it's a EAGLE CREEK "world journey womens fit" and I'm really pleased!!

All this time I thought I was leaving tuesday, but I realized today that June 4th is wensday. One more day of anticipation!!

Also I finally managed to book our first nights in Rome, first niht Hotel Mari to ease us in and then 2 nights at Yellow Hostel. Can't wait!

By the way, that is one sweet pack. It will be very comfortable (well, as comfy as a full pack can be!) Make sure to wear the hip belt to take the weight off your back!

Hey, I'm leaving on June 4th too! My sister and I will be visiting Paris for a few days (where I have relatives) then backpack through out Italy until we meet our parents in Tuscany for a week of more comfy vacation. We'll be gone for almost a month, all in all.

I'm very excited, especially since I've made a first "trial-packing" tonight. (*huge sigh of relief* Everything fits in my small 45 liters backpack!)

Now I'm leaving the 4th too. My original flight is over the Atlantic at this very moment, but due to overbooking, my travel buddy and I got bumped to tomorrow.... for a very hefty voucher! ;D

So now my to do list that got mentally tossed out on the way to the airport is actually doable, which is good and bad. Good = being able to make a few phone calls that slipped my mind, Bad = having to clean-up after the tornado that went through my room this week (me)

At least i don't have to pack again... ugh!

You all are making me jealous ;D, i have to spend a year in anticipation till i go on my europe trip, but it will all be worth the wait. Well, have fun and be safe guys.

I have that same pack Marie! And love it. Carried it around for 4 1/2 months last year and another 5 weeks this year plus numerous shorter 'stateside' trips. It still looks brand new, no wear and tear showing at all. And believe me, especially for the 'long' trip I way overpacked and that poor baby was stuffed to the gills. ;D Hopefully you will be as pleased at the end of your journey.

Once again, bon voyage, have a wonderful trip....and do let the board hear from you now and then.
