Hey. I am travelling to Europe from 10th Aug to 4th Sept and will be in prague 20-22 Aug with a friend and am in Prague for 2 and a half days, i was hoping you could tell me the best things to see and do with a short trip.
We dont have any firm plans in mind, but would like someones opinion on what the best things to do are.
Also what are the prices like there and are we best off getting money back home, live in the UK, or getting it out there?
Ta

Hi Nic,
Prague has a lot to see and do, but fortnately much of it is close together. For your two-and-a-half days, I would recommend the following:
Day 1 --------- Old Town Square (and just wandering through Old Town) The Charles Bridge Mala Strana (the part of town just over the Charles Bridge) Prague Castle (over the bridge and up the hill) Strahov Monastery and Petrin Hill
Day 2 --------- Vysehrad (a short metro ride away and well worth it) New Town and Wenceslas Square National Museum
Other cool things ----------------------- Kampa Island Letna Park Pub crawling in Zizkov Pub crawling in Vinohrady Classical music concert in one of the old churches
As for money, things here are much cheaper than in the UK. There are ATM machines everywhere so you should have no problem getting money here.
Keep in touch as your arrival in Prague approaches. I would be more than happy to show you around some places at some point.
Enjoy, Ray
