Hi, I am traveling to Europe this spring and I have never been before. I will be going to five different countries over a span of ten days. I have an Olympus D-390 digital camera with a 64 mb card. On high quality mode i can take 132 pictures. Is this enough memory

depends on how trigger happy you are. 132 photos wouldn't be enough for me.in a month I used 2 512 meg cards and a 256 meg card.

My last trip I only spent a week in France and went through over 160 photos. I have a 128mb card and it was barely enough. Mind you I did take a lot of photos but I think it is better to have a ton of pics when you get home so that you can look at them over and over again.

This is all up to you. Depends on the person, where you're going (is it a good place for taking photos, will you wanting be taking photos with the activity your doing)
If basing this on the average person, I would say you may want a bit more memory - maybe even double what you have.
I'd probably go through about 200 photos in a day, so like I said, it's really up to you to decide. Best advice I can give is if you're unsure, bring more - it's not everyday you get to make the trip, you'll be thankful you spent the extra money when you get back and have your photos. You don't want to be kicking yourself later for not having bought a $30 card.
Have fun in europe!

It's difficult to say whether you now have enough memory capacity? I usually travel with two 512 MB cards, one 256 MB card and one 32 MB card (only holds a few pictures but good for "emergencies"). A lot will depend on how many pictures you normally take when travelling? Consider the fact that you will be limited to only about 40 pictures per day (425 pictures over 10 days). It's quite common (especially with digital cameras) to take far more pictures than one usually takes. It's quite easy to get "dazzled" by the sights in Europe (there are SO many of them!) and shoot hundreds of pictures.
You have four options here: you can buy additional memory cards before you leave, to give yourself lots of storage space; you can try and find a photo shop or whatever when you're in Europe and burn your pictures onto a CD (might be a bit difficult on a 10 day trip to take the time to do this, unless you're going to be in a particular location for a day or so); you can buy a storage unit such as a FlashTrax or Apacer Disk Steno to store your images and free-up space on your memory cards; OR you can limit the number of photos you take every day, based on the memory capacity you have.
Hope these few comments provide some answers to your questions. Good luck with this and have a great time in Europe!!!
