Looking for a little advice here as a plan my trip. Question: I land at Frankfurt International on March 21st (a wednesday) at 5 pm......I wondering if it will be possible to get over to the Frankfurt Hann airport and get in on time to board a flight that leaves at 8pm that same day....Its my first time traveling so I'm not really sure how long it will take me to get out and into customs in Frankfurt. My other option is to wait till Saturday the 24th to fly out again. I don't really want to stay in Frankfurt, but would rather stay and check out the city for a few days instead of missing my first flight upon arriving in Europe. Any advice is appreciated, thanks for your time!

Hopefully some of the others will have a definite answer for you, but IMO it's theoretically possible to reach Frankfurt Hann within the time you have available. However, as you noted that could depend on factors such as how long it takes you to clear customs, train delays, etc.
I arrived in Frankfurt at 06:00 on my last trip, and it only took about 30 minutes to clear customs (it didn't seem very busy at that time of day). However, my train was delayed for about an hour for some reason (never did find out the reason?).
What is your destination on the flight you'll be catching at Hann? It seems a bit awkward to have to remain in Frankfurt for 3 days. Given those circumstances, I'd be tempted to use trains or other means to reach my ultimate destination.
Hopefully some of the other "regulars" will have more information for you.
Happy travels!!!

I think it is too tight, to make it.
But I am sure, that there must be other options to get to your destination from some of the nearby airports, if you can't from Frankfurt Int. (not only Hahn, but also Cologne/Bonn, of even Düsseldorf.)

As per the others, it's too tight to guarantee. Customs won't take long, but all you need is for a few flights to land at once and it's all over. Plus you're landing at 5pm, then have to tackle peak-hour traffic (road and trains) on a Friday afternoon (so there will be others going away for the weekend) to get to Hahn, which is 1hr45min on a good day by bus from Frankfurt International. There is a direct bus service between the two airports, but again you're dealing with Friday afternoon traffic and trust me it's huuuuge around Frankfurt (inner city and highways) on a Friday, so 1hr45 is not guaranteed. Plus you need to be at the aiport around 7pm for the 8pm flight (internal flights close 40mins before flight time, but you have to be there earlier than than for check in), so that would really be pushing it.
I'd suggest staying the night, go to Cocoon club for fun, and catching the flight on Saturday.
