davidineurope, glad to hear you're having such a good time in Switzerland! Hopefully the weather is co-operating?
If you're planning to visit Gimmelwald and have a few spare minutes, try the restaurant in the Pensione. There are new owners there since my last visit, and I'd be interested to know how they're doing. Some of my favourite memories of Gimmelwald were sitting on the patio in the late afternoon, having a cool Beer and visiting with other travellers.

That's great to hear, davidineurope, glad you like "the valley", it's a special place. If you get to Gimmelwald, make sure you try Eagle's suggestion for a restaurant. Also try a Fodue or Raclette if you can - it's not the season (ie it's warm) but you might get lucky. Otherwise, have an Eichhof beer for me and say Gruetzie to the cows for me!

MTH, all this talk about food is making me hungry!
I really enjoyed the Rosti in Gimmelwald (I believe they used organic ingredients at that time), along with a "cool one" of course. It wasn't cheap but it sure was good!

Hi guys i have just got back from my trip a few days ago i was away for 57 days in the end and had a fantastic time, my route changed after the first 5 weeks that i had booked up and i really enjoyed the freedom to go where i wanted to and stay without booking it all up in advance.
I met some great people travelling on my own and have some amazing memories and photos to remember it by.I will give more info when i have the time but my journey was this
