Sorry for taking so long to get back to posting, but it's been a crazy few weeks since I returned. Crazy with work, crazy with life and some medical issues.
Within two weeks of getting home I've had a major root canal done. It probabyy would have flared up while I was over there but my Dr. gave me some antibiotics to clear up an ear infection before I left. THANK GOD. It's been a nightmare.
I had a good trip. London was amazing as usual (strange weather though, hot and cold), Brugges and Ypres were incredible and I'd return to Belgium in a heart beat. The Netherlands, at least the area I was in didn't live up to what I had hoped. I found Maastricht to be very expensive and the people rather standoffish. Maybe more reserved is the best way to put it. But then gain, I was robbed there of a sweater so that's probably clouding my view.
Germany was a revalation. I want to explore that country some more. I found the people great, the cities vibrant and exciting and overall it was very easy to negotiate. Mind you, I was staying with a friend who knew where we were going but I did ok when I was on my own as well. Berlin was amazing. Way more than I imagined.
