In San Francisco, en route to Mexico, right now

I took advantage of the holiday break at work to go to San Francisco. This morning, when I left my hotel, I ran into someone I knew from Vancouver!

I'm flying to Mexico City in 2 days, then taking the bus to Puebla, staying for one night (at the HI hostel), and then taking the bus to Oaxaca, and staying for five nights, before returning via Mexico City (one night).

I love visiting San Francisco, although I've been here several times before, and keep finding new stuff.

Hola WT! Glad to hear you got away for a quick break, and back to Mexico too! You reminded me about how long it's been since I was last in SF - too long - it's a great city.

I am leaving for the airport in less than 7 hours. I´ve had a good trip. I´ve seen a lot more poverty upfront on this trip than I have before (although of course I knew it existed).

Hopefully my next trip will involve a week at a Spanish-language school, and that will help my language skills more. I feel like I can express myself at a 3-year-old level, and that is hard on my dignity .

I know the feeling! I'm probably at the same point with my Italian skills, and hopefully my next trip (after my 2010 European adventure) will include at least a month in Italy at a language school.
