Hi guys!
Long time, no talk....! I know, I know - I've been seriously absent around here but I'm hoping to start having more time soon.
Update, well, I've been busy not so much with travel but with being a mom - Morgan is 4.5 and starting kindergarten September. My diva daughter is turning 2 in a few short days. They keep me busy, especially Callie!
Hoping to start updating and renovating around GFE soon, keep your eyes peeled.
PS - super cool - I was reading my issue of Parents and they were talking about travel in Europe with kids. Guess who they suggested checking out for hostel info? Hostelworld... and yep, GFE! I was completely surprised, I had no idea it was in there!
Anyway, hoping you are all soon - WT and Eagle, good to see you are keeping everything under control!

Hi Kim, yes, I can understand why you might be a little busy for the past while. Very cool about the Parents mention! Great to see you, and I hope you get some fun trips in soon, even if they are just to Vancouver or Tofino or something.

Glad to hear everything is going well. I assumed you must be busy with "family responsibilities" so myself, WT, MadamTrashHeap and others have been trying to keep things rolling.
I can almost remember what it was like when my Sons were that age, but I have to admit that the memories are getting a bit faint (my oldest Son is 31!).
I'll be departing on my next Grand European Adventure tomorrow, so starting to feel the typical mix of anxiety, panic and excitement that typically precedes trips. Hopefully this one will be as fantastic as my previous trips.
I'll be travelling with a Netbook this year (for the first time), so should be able to check in at GFE from time-to-time. That will also allow me to update my Travel Blog every few days (I'll post the link if you think anyone would be interested).

Hey Kim! Good to "see" you again!
So proud that GFE has received some well-deserved recognition, and that your little site continues to grow and tick along nicely!
Can't believe how quickly the time has gone - I remember the first pictures of Morgan and then of his baby sis... seems like just the other day! Hope you get the chance to travel with them both (and Dad of course) in the next few years, no doubt diva-daughter Callie will have a specific backpack all picked out for the occasion!

WT,
Yes, I departed on Thursday (May13) and arrived Rome on May 14. I'll be heading for Tuscany tomorrow for a photography workshop. I didn't get any touring done today as I had some "housekeeping chores" to do, and also it was pouring rain.
I had to return to the Hotel in the afternoon for a nap, as I'm still getting over jet lag (although it hasn't been too bad this year). I tried the No Jet Lag pills during the flight, so perhaps they worked this time?
