I always take really good, comfy (but cute!) sandals. Always broken in, of course. Always something with a backstrap of though, as without one your arches will really ache.
The dresses aren't fancy, very simple, so it looks OK.
I tried to find a picture of my favorite ones but as they are 2 yrs. old, I can't. Here's another model though, mine are more flat though:
