Hey Jen, One place not to go to without reservations. I had such a problem trying to get a place to stay but I found one. It was called Klub Habitat. Try to find it. It's reasonably priced and in a semi good neighborhood. Just MAKE sure if you are where people can reach in your window you shut the window!! My bag almost was stolen through the window. Thanks to my roomate she saved the day! But i do recommend it outside of that little mishap. Good luck! Gary

Hi! Finally reserve Apple Hostel Prague, for 360czk, about 11,5 Euro. Breakfast, linen and towel included. Seems to be in city center and safe neighborhood. I reserved cause everything was filling up, and I have until the day before my arrival to cancel without any charge, so I am not too worried! Do any of you have comments on this hostels, not much said on the reviews of this site! Anything I should know? Thanks xoxo jen

Hi Jennifer,
I don't know anything about the hostel you are staying at, but you needn't worry too much about safety here in Prague. I am constantly amazed at how little crime there is here. It is best to stay on your guard for pickpockets in crowded places, this kind of thing is relatively rare, in relation to how many tourists come through here.
I would be more than happy to show you around and swap travel stories while you are here. If you are interested, keep me posted on your arrival and I can help you get your bearings.
Have a great trip, Ray

2 years ago I stayed at the Clown and Bard and it was just fine. They didn't offer breakfast at that time. The fare for 4-bed dorm was 350 CZK. It was less than 10$ at that time, but the CZK has strenghen considerably since. They have big dorm for only 250 CZK. No worry about safety - you get keys to the dorms AND the room.
