Hi everyone, So, my next trip will only be in a long time, but I'm slowly thinking about it. I was wondering if any of you could suggest some cities I must absolutely not miss. I know more about Italy, like Florence, Venice, Rome, etc.. But what must I absolutely see in Italy, Spain, Portugal and any surrounding place that is worth a visit! All suggestions are welcomed, you helped so much on my last trip, i'll really take your ideas into consideration, I'm open on the places to see! Thanks jen

Jennifer,
In my opinion. this could be splitted in two trips: 1-Italy, and 2- Spain and Portugal. Or at least, that what I would do. Spend a good 4 weeks each trip. As far as places not to miss? well, It will depend on what you like to do when traveling and when you travel. For instance, if you are into museums and artsy things, then obviusly hit the major cities, If you like landscapes and see the simple side of life, then head out to the small towns. Or you can do a combination of both. It is entirely upto you and what you would like to do. Since you are just considering places, pick up a country guide and read up about about each region and take notes of what catches your interest and where and when regardless of wether you'll get to go there or not. Once a date approaches, pick up the list and take it from there.
From my own experience, a Spanish city not to miss is Barcelona, then I will say Madrid. I heard Sevilla is pretty cool as well and so is Valencia. Of course if you are into hedonistic partying you should check out Ibiza. If you can't afford to go to Ibiza, then Madrid is famous for its sleepless nightlife. This I've witnessed (I've been in both places) I have not been to Portugal yet, but 50% chances are that it will be my next trip. And you already know about Italy.
That's my two cents!
