Hey all, Sooooo....might not be going in June/July like I originally thought, might be able to go for 2 weeks in March now. Is March very cold? Are most things open? Is it even worth going for two weeks? Where should I go? I hate being a responsible adult sometimes... Doug

Hehhe poor thing, deciding where to travel is the fun part! Being an adult is the financial part! ;D
I don't think march is that bad in many regions, of course I'm not teaching you anything if I tell you the south will be warmer!
What would you like to see? Anything in particular? Why not Spain or Italy?
For the openings and things, Ging could probably help you more on that!

Where would you be going in March?
We arrived in Europe in March and it wasn't the cold as much as the wind that got to us. We had good jackets and once we bought some thermal shirts to layer with, we were fine. This was in the Netherlands, Belgium etc. though, I think you'd be alot warmer in Spain and those areas.

I was hoping France , Germany, and some of Italy. The only place I HAVE to go to is Neuschwanstein Castle (geing to see the castle for myself is what started this whole Eruopean trip business ;D). Anyone have a good idea for an itinerary for 2 weeks? I don't need to hit everything this trip, since once I get my teaching degree, I'll have summers off for travel, so I know I'll be going back to hit other areas . Thanks guys! Doug

Hi Doug, Lived in Bavaria for 6 years and it's really toss of the coin about the weather. I would tell you to plan on it still being fairly snowy, pretty cold and windy. Then again, you might get lucky as 2 of the 6 years found pretty decent weather in that area in March....50's and great sun. Plan for the cold, be thrilled if you get the spring.

Still cold in March? YAY! I *love* the cold! Dunno why, born and bred in SoFla, but I like it being cold more than any other weather. *giggling like an idiot*

Well, I must say I rather travel with a winter coat and be comfy than travel in a tank top and die of heat!
