So I packed up my backpack with everything and holy man... is it full. This concerns me as I never wanted my pack to be at full capacity when I left!
So I was thinking maybe cutting back on some clothes? For roughly 2 months I have: 4 shirts 2 shorts, 2 pants/shorts converter 1 long sleve cover shirt 1 swim shorts
I was thinking getting rid of a pair of shorts because the pants/shorts converters might be enough plus the other pair of shorts.
Any thoughts?

I personally think you can get away with wearing any shorts/pants longer than shirts without 'embarassing stains or body odor'. ;D So if you are getting rid of anything I would say shorts over shirts. But what else are you taking that has your pack so full? Normally it is not the 'clothes' that are adding the weight/bulk to your pack...it's all the 'incidentals'. I'll bet there is something else nestled down deep in there that could easily be left behind.

I've just decided to downsize my toiletries. I am getting rid of the giant tin of shaving gel and deciding just to pack an electric razor because I believe that the battery can last 2 months. I also am gonna take out a pair of shorts, and after doing this it is not as full anymore. It's still pretty big though.
I knew I should have gone with the next size up backpack!

You know what, I packed my bag this weekend and sort of had the dilemma. I'm leaving in about a week as well. I think my towel and my fleece jacket took up the most space, so I'm going to opt for a quick dry towel that's not quite so fluffy. And also my 2 travel guides, but I don't want to rip them unless absolutely necessary.
It doesn't sound like you're bringing that much clothes... are you bringing an extra pair of shoes or something? That seems to take a up a lot of room, too.

I'm leaving a week from today and I did the same thing. After packing my bag I ditched my polar fleece and added a cotton zipped hoodie that's not near as bulky. It can be work as a jacket so I'll wear it the days I travel and help cut the weight of the pack. I also cut back on a pair of pants. I'm going with two pairs of jeans and a single pair of black synthetic pants.
Shoes are an issue. My feet problems of late means taking my Columbia hikers, an old reliable pair of sneakers and my Teva leather sandals.
Oh yes..and I ditched my Lonely Planet in favour of notes jotted down in my journal.
