Hello! I am leaving for my 2 month trip in a week and a half!! I'm getting really excited but also a bit nervous...
I've had to revise my itinerary a bit since I started first planning. My original plan was to spend the first month between France and Italy, and the second month in central/eastern Europe. But now a friend is going to join me in Italy, so I have a few less days to spend in central/eastern Europe. At first I was just going to cut out Ljubjana, but I wonder if could still squeeze in 2 nights in Slovenia if I just cut the other cities short. Or is it not worth it? I have 29 nights to play with. Suppose I leave Venice for Salzburg:
Salzburg (3 nights) Vienna (3 nights) Budapest (4 nights) Krakow (4 nights) Prague (5 nights) Berlin (5 nights) Amsterdam (3 nights) Bruges (2 nights)
This is all including travel time, so I figure I'd have 2 full days in Salzburg and Vienna, 3 full days in Budapest and Krakow, and so on and so forth.
Could I spend less time in Berlin so I can go to Slovenia? Or is 8 cities in 30 days already plenty handful?
I shouldn't be playing with my itinerary a week and a half before I leave, eh? But I actually have almost a month and a half before I'll even make it to Venice...

I'm leaving in a week and a half too, and I'm still changing my itinerary around, don't worry too much... I think.

Some journeys don't require a full day... in particular, Vienna to Budapest is 3 hours trip... you can leave Vienna after breakfast and get to Budapest by noon, with most of the day still ahead...
