I know I'll probably sound really dumb but Hey I've got to start planning my trip somewhere so here's a few of my questions about travelling in Eastern Europe.
Which is better bus or train Are the trains safe - read somewhere about people gassing you to steal your packs (Czecg rep or Poland i think) Is it worth while to buy a rail pass (I'm under 26) Is the transport reliable, on time ect?
Any help appreciated Cheers

Crystal, I've heard the same stories, about entire train cars being "gassed" so that thieves could steal without interruption. I suspect this might have happened in the past, but doubt that it's a common occurrence in the Czech Republic or Poland these days.
I would still be more inclined to use the trains, as they're considerably faster than Bus / Coach. It depends to some extent on where you're travelling though, as many smaller towns aren't well served by Rail.
However it's probably wise to be careful, whether in Eastern Europe or wherever.
Cheers!!!
