I've never had any luck/response from any of the big companies like Wal-mart. The ones that really jump into help are the smaller ones, which works well with the concept of this site anyway! All of us here are more like friends than an impersonal organization anyway.

Willtravel, When Wal-Mart first came to Canada the merchandise was pretty shoddy and cheap. I don't think that went over very well because they soon went into this "We're Canadian" kick. There were more red leafs at Wal-mart than there was in Atlantic Canada during October. The quality of the clothing improved, but Penmans was a name I bought PRIOR to Wal-Mart's arrival. Their electronic stuff isn't worth crap however. I could tell you some stories.

Wal-Mart is about as Canadian as Apple Pie.

Patrick, I hear ya!
Kim, What about contacting some of the smaller stores? What if some of us put together lists of stores near where we live? Would that work...or just make it unmanagable?

It's usually the online places that will donate as GFE is an online thing so they like the promotion. I think I have it under control for now but I appreciate the help - I will holler if I need any! Kim

We trust you Kim! So far you've given away stuff that's worth quite a lot, i'm impressed at how you run this site and once more I thank you! ;D
