I want to go to Denmark, Sweden and Finland. I know everyone says they are expensive, but what does that really mean? I went to Switzerland and found it was more than some places but compared to the Aussie $ it was the same, which was cheaper than the euro. Maybe someone could price a few items for me such as general food or drink and bus or train fares so I can get a rough idea. I think in the end if you really want to go, bugger the cost!!
Thanks for any responses! ;D Kathy

If you didn't find Switzerland that bad, I wouldn't worry about it. We found it pricy, but found Switzerland worse.
For example, a bed in a 10 person dorm in Stockholm will cost about $28 US ($36 Aussie)
Depends on your budget how expensive or not you find things though, you know? Paying $30 US for a dorm bed is alot when you are budgeting $50 US a day. If your budget is $100 US a day, $30 seems like no biggie.
Then of course if you are paying with the Canadian dollar, you have all sorts of problems.. ;D
