now i've read on a couple sites and a book where they say that at the cheapest you can get away with about $50 dollars a day. now what my question is, how much should i bring per day? i plan on staying in hostel in the dorms, dont the site seeing thing, i wont be eating off a lot, and we plan on going out to bars and drinking a lot of wine. we also would like to go to a couple clubs. now if anyone can help me with this, that would be awesome.

Hi fenderfresh....welcome and we are glad you are here....but please, take a few minutes to read through the various pages.....this has been discussed in great detail in this forum....all the why's and wherefor's covered in previous posts....and the general consensus here is that yes, you can probably manage on $50 depending on the countries you are visiting.....mostly a $70-75 range is considered more doable. Some countries are less, some way more, overall it will average out and you won't find yourself unable to 'see' any of the things you are going to see nor existing on bread and water! There is great info on this site....take a few minutes and check it out. And then come back and ask any and all specific questions you may have.

I would think more in terms of 50-75 Euros, rather than in USD. Then check current exchange rates.

agree with you there WT......haven't yet gotten used to the difference between euros and dollars! Sometimes takes a while for we seniors to 'adjust'! ;D
