Anyone know the more popular ATM networks throughout Europe?
I currently bank with 5/3 Bank, and they use the Cirrus and Pulse networks.

As long as your ATM/debit card has a Mastercard or Visa logo on it you can use it pretty much anywhere. You might check out the Currency section for much more detailed answers to any ATM questions.

The main network in the UK is Link. That's part of the Switch/Maestro/Cirrus (Switch and Maestro are the same thing, whilst Cirrus is a cut down version of it) group which is prevalent throughout Europe and is owned by Mastercard.
Generally Cirrus will be fine, although I'd always recommend bringing a credit card (Visa, Mastercard or Amex- don't bring anything else as you'll find that places won't accept it- also make sure you know your credit card pin) as well. Just make sure that your pin is 4 digits long as well, otherwise you may find that you can't use ATMs or buy things (in many countries pins are used to verify retail purchases instead of using a signature).

fifth third bank...as in Cincinnati?? Used them exclusively in all of UK, Ireland, BeNeLux, Germany, Poland, Czech, Italy, France,...et al with nary a problem anywhere. And best of all...no extra charges! Just be sure and call and let them know you will be using your card overseas...when and where...so they don't think something is amiss and 'hold' your card.
