just saw that the Greenback fell to it's record lowest value against the euro. i guess this means Chinese goods will be even cheaper for the Eurozone!

the latest: in today's Dallas paper there's an editorial cartoon of a child & father.
there's a child asking her father, "Can I have my allowance for this month?" with her hand out and him reaching into his pocket.
next frame shows him holding some cash as expressions turn to frowns when the child says ". . . in EUROS"

i'm in canada right now and the exchange rate isn't great. right now it takes US$1.02 for $1 canadain.

Just read in NYTimes: Practical Traveler that the greenback C-Note has lost its allure. many overseas merchants who once took them, giving change in local cash, are now refusing them. - d

David, I thought the US dollar would have stabilized a bit by now, but it seems like it's still a bit volatile.
However, I can't complain! I've just arrived in Hawaii (Honolulu) so the exchange rate is great for me.
Hopefully things will improve,
