Loved Archi Rossi, but they don't take reservations...first come first served.

I heard it was a great place to stay but no reservations sucks I'm going to keep it in mind but I want something more secure. I think I found one that looks pretty good but I can't remember what its called. When I get home tonight I'll let everyone know what its called and see if anyones has stayed there before.

I second Archi Rossi. I met some of the best people of my trip at that hostel. Because of the whole no reservations problem, I spent the first night with a friend I'd met in the previous city, in a run-down "hotel" (it was fairly cheap though) right beside the hostel. Then the next morning we arrived at Archi Rossi uber early at 7 am and found a bed for our next few days!

Hi, I am in Florence right now, staying in "rooms with a view" you can book it on hostelworld.com. It is pretty cheap (we paid 50 euros a night for 2 people in a double room), right behind the duomo cathedral, has a terrace with an amazing view of the city, free internet, great kitchen etc...it's an apartment so other people stay there too and you get to know everyone else there...only heads up: you have to tell them about what time you will arrive cuz they run other apartments in the city too.
