Hello everyone
I am heading off to Europe on my own with a Interail pass for one month kicking off in Barcelona on September 10th. i'm keeping my route loose and as yet haven't sorted out when i'm coming back (my thoughts being that i can stay longer than a month cash permitting).
I would love to see Rome, take in some Oktoberfest in Munich and i'd really like to go to Norway, but apart from that i'll just go with the flow. With this in mind and return date aside, my itineray would look something like this:
Barcelona Marseille/Nice Turin Pisa Rome Venice Vienna Munich Berlin Copenhagen and the Norway
Do you think this is possible in a month or do you think i will end up travelling all of the time? I wonder if perhaps i should save Norway for another time and see more of East Europe (also for cheapness).
My other question is that i was hoping to camp wherever possible. Is this an option worth considering in the places i've mentioned or is it just not practical in terms of carrying a tent around, saving money, and giving myself a headache trying to get too and from campsites.
As a first timer, i would greatly appreciate any advice or suggestions.
Thanx so much

I'd say take out Copenhagen Norway and it's doable. First of all, Scandinavia is outrageously expensive. If you don't have extra cash, definately give it a miss. Plus, it's out of the way from everything else on your list.
About camping, it's not going to be easy. Campsites are really far usually from the city center and alot of times require a car to get to. Then you have to think about packing around all the gear. You can't just camp anywhere like some people think, it's not allowed.
I wouldn't plan to camp - too much gear required, too far, too much hassle. Just get a bed in a cheap hostel, it would be so much better. The bigger the dorm room, the lower the price, if that's an issue. As in a bed in a 10 person room is going to be cheaper than one in a 4 person room.
Look for hostels with kitchens as well as cooking your meals and packing yourself a lunch will help you save a ton of cash.

Thanx Guys
i have indeed decided to drop Norway on this particular trip. i was thinking it might be too much and too expensive for my budget, esp at the end of my trip. think i'll just check out Eastern Europe a little more instead!
think i will opt for hostels instead of camping too.
thanks for the advice.
