A large group of us are organising a short backpacking holiday for when we finish 6th form in june 07, we all come from the UK. Just wondering what you guys make of this itinerary we've drafted for the holiday. We're keen on seeing central/eastern Europe as appose to areas such as France/Holland which we've all been to before. Any tips are much appreciated.
2/6 - Depart Manchester Airport at 13:30, arriving in Munich (via Zurich) at 19:55. Catch the train to the Hauptbahnhof Main Station and then walk to the Meininger City Hostel. 2 nights costs £26.68 (8 bed male dorm)
3/6 - Spend the day in Munich
4/6 - Check out of the hostel and see more of Munich. Catch the night-train from Munich to Prague at 23:08.
5/6 - Arrive in Prague at 08:15. Walk 700m from the station to the Travellers Hostel. £33.73 (2 x 4-bed private rooms) for 3 nights.
6/6 - See Prague
7/6 - See Prague
8/6 - Catch the train to Vienna (5 and a half hours). Get a taxi (or otherwise) to Hostel Hutteldorf. Approx £36 (2 x 4-bed private rooms) for 3 nights.

11/6 - Catch the train from Vienna to Budapest (2 and a half hours). Check in at the Absolute Hostel. £16.83 (8 bed room with a shared bathroom) for 3 nights.

14/6 - Catch the train to Zagreb. Departs from Budapest at 08:35 and arrives in Zagreb at 13:41. Check in at the Fulir Hostel. £26 (10 bed dorm) for 2 nights.

16/6 - Catch a train back to Munich. Check in at the Meininger City Hostel. £13.34 (8 bed dorm) for one night.
17/6 - Catch the train to the airport and then depart on the 09:30 flight, arriving back in Manchester at 13:00 hours.
Estimated total cost: £450 (flight, train and accommodation)
