!!!! I don’t have much information about the Fairy systems. I have read that we may receive a discounted fair with the Eurail Pass. Would love some feed back if anyone knows anything that I should know.

The Hostels and Hotels that have been listed above have not yet been booked. I have spent a lot of time pricing different sites and I think I have found the best place to book them. Hostelbookers.com has no booking fees over the internet and also has cheaper prices than any other I have found. Hostel/Hotel names being misspelled are very possible, my notes are kind of sloppy but I should be able to find them on the website again.

I think hostelworld waived their booking fees... I am not sure, but I remember receiving an email about it.

I actually think all these nights in Milan will drive you crazy. There's not really much to see unless you want to go to a nicer place like Lake Como. A few hours in Milan was just enough for me and that's coming from an art lover!

The places I stayed in were (travelled with another person, so price is per person really):

Paris: Appihotel (Paid 35 CDN for a twin private ensuite). Would recommend this (2e arrondissement)

Florence: B&B Maison (Paid roughly 45 CDN for double room with shared bath). Includes free breakfast and it's very nice.

The rest... you're either staying for free so I won't mention my list and some I have not been to.

Way too many days for Jerez. It's a small town, and there is not a lot to see. The Cathedral you will see in half an hour, and the Castle takes you maybe a little bit more. One day is more than enough there.

I stayed there for one day, and used the Hotel Avila. which is between the trainstation, and the center of town. And not that expensive.

If you are in the south of Spain, I would really recommend Granada (see the Alhambra), and Sevilla (Cathedral is one of the biggest, and the Alcazar (or Palacios Reales) is beautiful too). If you go to Granada, you can make up for not seeing the Alps, and take a look at the Sierra Nevada. For both places Oasis Hostel, would be my pick. I am not sure if Valencia (check your spelling) is worth this amount of days. I've not been there yet, but I hear very mixed reviews about Valencia.

Don't worry about trainfares in Spain too much. It's a pretty cheap country to travel by train. Also you will find some cheap tickets here very easy. At least for Madrid - Paris try to get a ticket at Vueling Airlines. (try to resist RyanAir, as they land at Beauvais Airport, and their departure times in Madrid are mad, if fact too early to reach the airport with Metro, as they are not running that early, which will cost you about another 20 euros for a taxi) Other Airlines you can check, are Iberia (yes national flights are quite cheap), Clickair, Spanair and Air Europa.

Honestly I think a lot of these trips are shouting: take a plane to me. (Paris - Amsterdam, by train is expensive as it is the Thalys, and Vueling is flying Paris - Amsterdam at a cheap fare). Amsterdam - Prague I would for sure do as a flight, maybe check SkyEurope), Lisbon - Madrid (or even Jerez - Madrid) would made good and cheap flights.

I also presume you mean Ferry (a Fairy is something (someone) else ) I don't see any ferries to/from Corsica (Ajaccio) from either cities you mention. Flights might be an alternative here as well. (checked at www.aferry.nl/).

Also keep in mind that going from Prague to Zurich, is a long haul !!! I think that Salzburg and Innsbruck can be considered as they are almost on-route to Venice.

For checking timetables of trains, check www.bahn.de (go to the international guest section). Here you can enter the routes, and you will see the timetables. This will give you a better understanding on how long a trainride takes.

If you have you initerary, then it is time to worry about your pass, check www.railsaver.com here you can enter your initerary (minus flights), and they will provide you with the best option.

For flights you can use www.flightassistent.com to see which routes are flown for each city, and links to the airlines. and www.whichbudget.com for checking dates. At this moment it will not be possible to search for dates in 2008, and at the beginning of next year, you will see that the airlines publish there summershedules. Flights can save you some serious money. (and time)
