Cut out on the beer, lose the weight, want to eat less, less food you buy on your trip. At least, the losing weight/want less food thing happened to me. I'm just guessing on the less food on trip thing...I'd probably gorge myself once I got there... But really.....dropping Starbucks shouldn't be so bad....I'd only have problems dropping the Dunkin' Donuts coffee!

So it's kinda a dead topic, but I've posted all my Roadtrip pics (plus some other trips) to my page (see my sig). I've also got gallery space for other people if they are interested.

Sorry Ging! DC killed my hotel budget, and something happened here at home (damn parents and their old age related injuries...), so I had to cut straight from SC to home (11 hour drive ). I'm working on getting my pictures up (had to clean some up, some didn't come out, yadda yadda) and my travel journal.

I was in DC for New Years. I went over to Arlington for fireworks, then stumbled back to my hotel. Thank god for cabs! I'm heading home today though DC has killed my budget, so I'm gonna drive to my Uncles house outside of Columbia, SC and suck up for a couch. Post again laer!

Just got back from snowboarding in NC. If you get a chance, check out the Boone/Blowing Rock area; plenty of good ski resorts there. All of the "High Country" in NC rocks...good luck man...why don't you also check out DC? You won't be too far away! I am in DC! First time here! So far it's great, my hotel even has wifi in the lobby! Going to have to cut my trip short this time though, staying here is blowing my hotel budget all out of whack, but dude, I've always wanted to come here.

Yes, I do have a C. It's friggin great! So I'm currently in Raleigh, NC. I know, it's a bit away from Charleston, but it's a long story and I can't post my travel journal right now. I'm doing the touristy thing today, then who knows. If anyone has any suggestions, post 'em! Oh ya, Ging, Florence was a shopping town, with Target, Wal-Mart, etc. Nothing beautiful about it that I saw! See ya next time I find a Starbucks!

So I'm sitting in a Starbucks in Savannah, Georgia. Absolutely beautiful here! Can't hit the tour I wanted, it leaves too late in the day. Ging, did you know there's a Florence in South Carolina? It's right off I-95, so I'll try to hit it for pictures for you! So I'm off to the Carolinas now, probably Charleston. Oh ya, it's in the low 40's here, and I'm loving it! Post from my next stop!

Heh...thanks for the tips guys! I don't know where I'll be, I'm just drving north until I get tired or I spot something/someplace I wanna stop at. Like I said, I'll have access to here, so I'll keep everyone up to date on where I am and what I'm doing! Packing tomorrow (still haven't told my parents yet... ;D)
Edit: Wow, for a future teacher I sure do spell a lot of things wrong...and I'll be shaping young minds...MWUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Again...damn you spymoose for this idea! ;D Anyway, I don't have to be back to work until Jan. 10, and I know that the extent of my New Years "Party" will be sitting in the living room with my parents kicking them awake when the ball drops...so as much fun as that SOUNDS, I'm skipping it all and just driving. Where? Beats the hell out of me! Well, I live in SoFla, so the only place I CAN go is North. Don't want to go to far, as I've never driven in snow before, but I'm heading out. I think I'll be leaving Wed. morning, and won't be driving home until Jan. 7 or 8. I've got some money saved (Motel 6 $40 a night), and anyway, I've got a truck, it's not like I haven't slept in it before. ;D So, if anyone is north or me (HAH! Isn't that everyone?) and you want to meet up for lunch, dinner, drinks, or whatever (and pictures! I'll bring GFEGary!), e-mail me or post here!
Edit: Ok, so my Tungsten will pick up my Yahoo mail, so that's a good thing! I can also read the boards from it, all providing I can find Hotspots on the way (don't all Starbucks have hotspots now?)

Not really a frenzy...it's more like men have a natural problem with gift wrapping ANYTHING...my mother even went as far as to unwrap my stuff an re-wrap it this year!

For those of you with Palm (or Pocket PCs), I found an excellent mapping program at www.mapopolis.com/. It's cheap, has most place already marked, and if not you can add it. It will even generate directions for you. It also supports a GPS unit if you have one. Sweet little program, I've been playing with it all night. ;D Edit: You know, for being an education major, you'd think I could spell better...
