Ginger, I finally got a few spare moments today to read your travel updates in their entirety. Sounds like you had quite the trip and enjoyed yourself. I took some notes on sights to see and places to visit in Amsterdam/Paris/London etc.. and that should help with my plans!

I also almost jumped when I saw you had taken 50something rolls of film!!! That's quite a few photos, I was just curious as to whether you had put any of them online for people to view or anything like that.

Overall, I really enjoyed travelling your journey through your writings. Nice job! And I'll have to remember to bring a pen with me next time I go!

Thanks Patrick! It was fun to keep everyone up to date, and helped me keep my thoughts organized as well. DO BRING A PEN and a journal! As much as I wrote 'online' my journal is so much more detailed and makes for fun reading now and then. Plus, there are several 'posts' missing here, don't know why they fell out, but I can still find any info in my hand written journal. And, as I said, I got mail from all sorts of folks while traveling....who had been reading my posts and would drop a hello. And it was always so nice to sign on in ten-buck-two ;D and have mail!

As for pictures, ended up with 57 rolls...and I thought I was very conservative with what I took pics of! For the most part they all turned out, better even than I hoped. I have not posted any as yet. Up until early last month my computer and scanner were in storage so no way to scan them in. Now that I have them set up, still have not gotten the scanner loaded up and going. I'll let you know when I do. Always glad to share info on my trip.

I'll be sure to take notes, I'm sure it helps to remember all the little things and let you sort of re-walk the places you've been! 57 does seem like a lot, glad to hear they turned out well.

I think the last trip I took which was 7 days, I took about 120 photos on my digital camera (I found it to be pretty convenient but may need extra memory cards next time), anyway... about 5 rolls worth. I've been meaning to post some of them but I need to resize them all first as they're pretty high resolution.

Well, maybe, but if you figure 17 weeks, that's 3.3 rolls a week, or just under half a roll a day. And that doesn't seem excessive for places you've waited forever to go see does it?? ;D Plus, man oh man do I have some fabulous 'arrangements' decorating my walls these days.....the envy of everyone who steps into my house.
